Today’s the day!

Dearest Alexander;

Today’s (hopefully) the day that I will finally get to meet you, little one!

I have a long day ahead of me, but holding you in my arms for the first time after it will seem like such a great reward at the end.

I have classes from 10-3 today, and during my 2 breaks in-between, I still need to finish a paper, proofread, and print it out, it’s due at 2! I know I know, I’m slacking a bit, but how can I not?! It’s been such a whirlwind week, as I’m sure you know ;-)

Uncle Derek’s daddy is coming up from Boulder today to take us out to dinner at Outback Steakhouse (yummy!), and to hangout with us for a bit. It’s so nice getting to spend time with Derek’s parents on the rare occasions that we get to see them; they’re such nice people! Did I mention that Derek’s mommy made us chocolate chip oatmeal COOKIES, and is sending them up to us?!?! No? Well, they’re gonna be delicious!

Uncle Derek has a midterm today (just like I have my paper), so we’re both a bit stressed, but dinner and cookies for dessert after seems like a good plan for us!

After dinner, I plan on driving down to Denver, to hang out with my mommy and daddy, and to meet you!

Can’t wait Alexander! I love you!

Love,

Aunt Malorie

Welcome to the world!

Welcome to the world little one! You are 2 now…days old that is!

You were born on October 20th, 2009 at 9:18AM. You are a healthy boy, weighing in at 7lb 14oz, and 21in long!

Your parents are 19yr old mommy Rachel and 19yr old daddy Anthony (my brother).

I haven’t seen you in person yet (unfortunate for living 1 hour away from you!), but I’m excited to meet you little one, and personally welcome you to our world, and to the family!

Grandpa M and Daddy have both sent me a picture of you (so I can see how wonderful you are!), and you are the most precious baby I’ve ever seen! (I work in a daycare, and see lots of babies, so you had better take this as a complement!)

Even though I have yet to see you, I can already sense how much I’m going to love you little one (and spoil you too!). You were born into an awesome family, as you’re also the first grandchild for both sets of grandparents! What love you will see! What things you will learn!

I talked to Grandma M yesterday (my mommy); and it was the first day that she got to see you, her first grandson! She loves you so much! She loves how your all scrunched up (you’re still used to being in mommy’s tummy), and how awake and alert you are! Your little toes and fingers…everything!

You definately are a special child already! I cant wait to meet you this weekend, baby Alexander.

Love,

Aunt Malorie
